IBA mapping of the Baltic Sea's bird colonies

Presentation of BirdLife Sweden's project IBA mapping. The project has been working on updating 13 marine IBA areas and creating 6 new marine IBA areas. By using the latest technology, the project has allowed the birds themselves to show which areas are important to them.

Ulrik Lötberg is chairman of Upplands Ornitologiska Förening and leads two of BirdLife Sweden's larger bird protection projects. He has been active as a seabird inventory taker since 1997.
