How many birds nest in Sweden?
Twelve years ago, the book "Birds in Sweden - number and abundance" was published. Now all calculations have been revised with the help of the country's bird watchers. In some cases the numbers have had to be increased, in other cases they have had to be adjusted downwards. Some of the results and how the work has been done are presented here.

Anders Wirdheim is a bird watcher and journalist, retired after many years as an editor and communicator within BirdLife Sweden. In the present context, he is responsible for production of the book, has maintained contact with the country's report committees and written some of the texts.
